Beyoncé Is A Rare Spirit- Pharrell Williams

Pharell Williams has noted that Beyoncé is a rare spirit and eulogized her for the strong bond they have shared over the years.

The musician added that his conviction that he knew her in a previous life may very well be the reason for their bond. In a recent video released on Instagram by Louis Vuitton, Williams described the steps he took to create a studded jumpsuit for Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. The multi-hyphenate artist also explained how his “many lives” of relationship with the Queen B helped him realize his vision.

“Beyoncé is a rare spirit,” began Pharrell. “The idea that I know her as a human being and have known her for all this time and our connection, I feel like I’ve known this person for many lives.”

When creating the custom look, Williams kept the music icon’s body and silhouette top of mind.

“The idea here was to give her something that allows her body to set the template,” he stated. “Not only its shape and its form, which is basically informed by her spirit. Your body is literally a spiritual encasement. Continue to celebrate her shape and her form, but also make her feel free at the same time.”

Pharrell added that Beyoncé’s outfit was created for someone “who is royal in her spirit.”

He continued: “Everything was designed with an intention that a true, rare, very powerful spirit is meant to move,” he concluded.

According to Louis Vuitton, the “Happy” recording artist also created custom garments for Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy, 11, who has joined her mother on stage to bust a move, on multiple occasions during her world tour.

Williams joined the band N.E.R.D., which he co-founded with Hugo and drummer Shay Haley, as the lead vocalist in 1999. Williams has received much praise for being one of the most successful and influential music producers of the twenty-first century and significantly influencing the sound of contemporary popular music.

In My Mind, Pharell Williams’ first studio album, was released in 2006. He co-wrote and sang with T.I. on Robin Thicke’s song “Blurred Lines” in 2013, and his song “Happy” served as the lead single for the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack. Both songs peaked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 as well as other international charts.

His family has a long history in Virginia and North Carolina. His ancestor traveled to West Africa in 1831, and as a result, more family left the United States for Liberia in 1832. Williams and Chad Hugo met during a summer band camp for seventh graders where Williams was on drums and Hugo was on tenor sax. They participated in the school band while they were students at Princess Anne High School. Williams left high school in 1991 and spent two years at Northwestern University before quitting.
