Bulldog Reveals Why He Changed His Name To Bullgod

Kwame Asiamah Hanson, formerly known as Bulldog, has revealed why he changed his name to Bullgod. In the entertainment news today, the former manager of dancehall artist Shatta Wale has stated that he decided to change his name to Bullgod because his daughter calls him that, just to honour her.

In a recent interview with radio personality Abeiku Santana on ‘Atuu, shown on UTV, the CEO of Bullhaus Entertainment said, “My daughter, whose name is Adom, is the one who calls me Bullgod. The bulldog is an acronym for “bull depends on God,” so for her to be able to just say “bulldog” is a serious message. So, when she turned three, I used that opportunity to change the name to honour her.”

When the show’s host, Abeiku Santana, asked him how he got the nickname Bulldog, he said his friends gave him that name and that it meant “a person who doesn’t give up easily.”

“If you check the dictionary, bulldog means a die-hard person, somebody who doesn’t give up easily. I go for what I want, and once I want it, I’ll get it. It’s more like a spirit; that’s how I am. When I was growing up, my friends gave me the name because of my attitude.” he added.
