Kwesi Arthur Cuts Off His Dreadlocks, Says He’s Selling The Hair

Kwesi Arthur has parted ways with his trademark dreadlocks after he surprisingly cut them off as depicted in a new photo he shared on Twitter.

The Ghanaian rap artiste, whose monster hit ‘Grind Day’ get a nomination for the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards, 2018 showcased his sense of humour when he held the hair in his hands claiming they are for sale.

Arthur’s dreadlocks have been incorporated into his brand so fans will be anticipating the new image he is going to portray henceforth. The rapper shared a photo of him holding the hair alongside this caption;

After he had the chance to listen to Drake’s debut album, Thank Me Later, Kwesi Arthur began to write songs and started rapping thereafter. He released the lead track from his debut EP, Live from Nkrumah Krom, in 2017 under the name “Grind Day” (2017).

The song was issued by his independent group and was backed by the GroundUp Chale social movement. Later, he made available the “Grind Day” remix with Sarkodie and Medikal.

Sarkodie, Medikal, KiDi, Jason E LA, R2Bees, B4bonah, M3dal, M.anifest, EL, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, and South African rapper Nasty C are just a few of the Ghanaian musicians with whom Kwesi Arthur has worked.

Kwesi Arthur is one of Ghana’s most popular musicians, and his music has received recognition and awards around the world. One of the most listened African songs on Apple Music in 2020 was his song “Live From The 233.”
