Ex-GFA President Alhaji MND Jawula Dies In The USA While Receiving Medical Care

Alhaji MND Lepowura Jawula has died in the United States of America (USA), where he was receiving medical treatment.

The 74-year old former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) had been sick for some time.

According to reports, the Lepowura was on admission at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) before he was flown out to the United States of America last week where he died.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced his demise on Saturday evening in a Twitter post.

Alhaji MND Lepowura Jawula served as the President of the GFA between 1997 and 2001.

The Black Starlets lifted the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 1995 under his watch.

Until his demise, he was the chairman of the Premier League Management Committee.

Mr. Jawula was also the Lepowura of the Kujolobito Gate of Lepo-Kpembe in the Northern Region.
