How King Promise Song ‘Terminator’ Excited Barcelona’s Players
King Promise’s hit song, ‘Terminator’ excited Barcolana players in their locker room just before their La Liga opener against Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez Stadium.
The viral song Terminator by Ghanaian Afrobeats singer King Promise is making waves on social media across various digital platforms. According to a tweet from La Liga, the song was playing as the players entered the dressing room of the Spanish title team to prepare for the match.
Over 4.1 million people have watched the song’s official video on YouTube, giving it a significant number of views.
Meanwhile, Barcelona opened their 2023–24 La Liga season with a dismal 0-0 tie that saw both their right winger and manager sent off. Barcelona’s La Liga campaign got off to a dismal start as they were drawn into a heated match by Getafe and went scoreless in the opening round of their championship defence.
With three red cards and numerous cautions issued, Sunday night’s football game was undoubtedly sparse. In his first season with Getafe, Jose Bordalas established a reputation as a practitioner of black arts, and his team followed a set routine. The home team started to cause trouble, hurling elbows, diving into tackles, and chirping at the confused referee.
On the stroke of halftime, the Brazilian was once again involved, but in more reactionary circumstances; he was given a straight red card for a jarring elbow to his opponent’s head.
However, immediately after the break, Jaime Mata was given his marching orders after receiving a second yellow, and Getafe evened the score to 10 vs. 10.
And despite the equal number of players, Barca never gained an advantage. Ansu Fati, a substitute, missed a close-range attempt off a Lamine Yamal cross, coming closest. After a protracted VAR review, they then had a last-second penalty appeal denied, which was an appropriately ugly conclusion to an unruly event.
