I Was Wrong- Journalist Apologises For Wrong Information About Kanye West Coming to Ghana

Recall that Tru News Report mentioned that Kanye West could make a surprise appearance at the maiden edition of the Black Star Line Festival, a new concert in Ghana masterminded by American artist Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa.

Blogger and on-air personality, Ebenezer Donkoh NY DJ has passed the information on Twitter, saying; “I’m gathering info that Kanye West will be the surprise act at the Black Star Line Festival in Ghana this weekend.”

On Saturday, January 7, 2023, at about 5:30 a.m., the event came to end without the sight of Kanye West as predicted by NY DJ. To this end, he quickly took recourse to the same medium to apologise to Ghanaians for the wrong information and safeguard his reputation.

‘Kanye/YE x Black Star Line Festival I made a mistake. Unfortunately, I got my information wrong this time. I’m sorry,’ he wrote.

Meanwhile, famed American superstars stormed the inaugural Black Star Line Festival in Accra, Ghana’s capital city, and it was an epic night of hip-hop music.

Vic Mensa and Chance The Rapper, both from Chicago, held a series of events over the course of a week-long festival to encourage the diaspora to donate their time, talent, and resources to the advancement of Ghana and Africa. The free outdoor performance served as the festival’s grand finale.

Rapper T-Pain, a Grammy Award winner, was one of the night’s outstanding performers, mesmerizing the audience with his captivating dancing movements and a number of international hits.
