It was earlier reported that during a gun duel between the Nigerian police and the kidnappers on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, a woman named Bilikisu Kazeem died from a bullet wound. The police rescued nine out of ten persons abducted during the engagement.

The reports do not indicate whether ransom was paid for Aivoji’s release, and neither the police nor the PDP spokesperson has provided details on this matter.
