Kwesi Arthur Fights Critics Of His Performance At Davido’s Concert In US
Kwesi Arthur is currently engaged in a battle with X users who criticized his perceived below-average performance at Davido’s Away Festival, held at the State Farm Arena in the United States.
Upon viewing footage of his performance, fans expressed their disappointment, claiming that his song selection failed to captivate the already enthusiastic crowd, resulting in a negative reception.
Another group of individuals argued that his mainstream relevance has significantly diminished, leading to the crowd’s unfamiliarity with him and their inability to enjoy his music. Despite the differing opinions, Kwesi Arthur has taken a stand by expressing his gratitude to Davido and his team for the rare opportunity.
Furthermore, he directly confronted his critics by stating that he would have continued his performance even if there were only two audience members present. In a straightforward manner, he dismissed the negative opinions, suggesting that the naysayers should shove their opinions down their ass!
Kwesi Arthur is a Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter from Tema He rose to fame in 2017 with the hit single “Grind Day” which received widespread acclaim and a co-sign from rap heavyweights Sarkodie and Medikal. In 2019, his second EP Live from Nkrumah Krom Vol II garnered more than 2 million streams in the first week of its release.
Arthur has achieved numerous honors, such as being crowned Rapper of the year and winning the prestigious Hip Hop Song of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Additionally, he received recognition for his exceptional talent with a nomination for Viewer’s Choice Best International Act at the 2018 BET Awards. Following in the footsteps of Sarkodie’s nomination in 2019, Arthur became the second Ghanaian rapper to be acknowledged and nominated for the BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher.
