Michy Claims She Has Not Earned Any Money From The Songs She Made Under Shatta Wale

Ghanaian actress, musician, and influencer Diamond Michelle Gbagonah, better known in the entertainment industry as Michy, has stated that she has not received any money from the songs she made while with Shatta Wale.

She claims she has never earned any royalties from her music career since she has no idea how such money is earned.

“I have not received a single cedi from any song I’ve made. So far as it is connected with that page [Shatta Wale’s YouTube], I’ve not earned anything,” she said.

The “Low Tempo” collaboration between Michy and Shatta Wale has received over 5 million views on YouTube and is anticipated to generate an impressive amount from other streaming platforms.

However, Michy asserts that she has not received any financial support from the father of her infant. What exactly was agreed upon for the  song’s recording is unclear.

“When it comes to some people, I don’t want to pick fights with them. I need to drink water before we sign off. Don’t put me in trouble,” she added on her show.

The strained relationship between Michy and her ex-boyfriend, Shatta Wale, has led to him not being able to pay his son’s school expenses or spend time with him.

Shatta Michy’s Biography

Michy was born in Norway on May 6, 1994. She was once engaged to the famous Ghanaian dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah, better known as Shatta Wale. At the age of seventeen, Shatta Michy met Shatta Wale, and they had a son together whom they named Majesty.

Shatta Michy went to Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School and then to Wisconsin University College to study marketing. She adds that she plans to attend law school and eventually practise law.
