Mohammed Kudus Honoured By Ghana Armed Forces For His Exploits At 2022 World Cup

Black Stars midfielder Kudus Mohammed has received recognition from the Ghana Armed Forces for his exploits at the just-finished 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Army, Air Force, and Navy gave the medal to the player who distinguished himself during the Black Stars campaign in Qatar. With two goals and one assist in three games against Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay, the Ajax attacker stood out for the Black Stars in Group H.

The 21-year-old became the first Ghanaian player to score twice in a World Cup game after scoring a brace in Ghana’s 3-2 victory over South Korea.

Despite Kudus’ outstanding achievements, the Black Stars were eliminated from the tournament after losing to Uruguay 0-2 in the group stage.

Kudus has reunited with his teammates and is getting ready to start the 2022-2023 season with Ajax Amsterdam.

The former Nordsjaelland player has played in 21 games in all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals and dishing out two assists.

Kudus has been linked to a number of European teams in the meantime, including Barcelona, Dortmund, PSG, and Chelsea.
