Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse: Metro Boomin Teases New Music

Metro Boomin is producing new music for the forthcoming animated film “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” titled “Self Love” by Spider-Coi, coming June 2, approximately seven months after the release of Metro Boomin’s sophomore studio album, “Heroes & Villains.”

The sequel to the Academy Award-winning “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” has a multitude of Spider-People, the promise of multiverse travel, and widespread anticipation for Miles’ story to reach new heights.

Numerous factors contribute to the franchise’s popularity with fans, including its enriched visuals, character designs, animation styles, and majestic music.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the writing and producing duo behind the feature, also teased that the sequel will have music from the notable music artiste.

“This time we are working with legendary Metro Boomin,” Miller said.

“If anybody is going to be able to make something that feels like it’s Miles’ experience, that guy knows what he’s doing,” he added.

Who is Metro Boomin

Metro Boomin (born Leland Tyler Wayne) is lauded for his dark production technique and its influence on contemporary hip hop and trap.

After producing the song “Tuesday” by iLoveMakonnen and Drake, which reached number 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, he went on to produce numerous U.S. top-20 singles, including “Jumpman” by Drake and Future, “Bad and Boujee” by Migos, “Congratulations” by Post Malone, and “Tunnel Vision” by Kodak Black, among others.

His most recent album, “Heroes & Villains,” has been hailed by fans and critics equally as his best work to date. His music will enhance Miles’ story and provide admirers with a new tune to groove to.
