Edem Goget’em To Hold A Concert On May 28 In Honour Of His Birthday

Ghanaian recording artiste and entertainer Edem will be having a concert in the Volta Region dubbed GoGet’Em Live, on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at the Akatsi RC Park in honour of his birthday.

The musician, who celebrated his birthday on May 20, has decided to commemorate with his fans in Volta Region by performing a concert.

He said, “I have not had a concert in the region for some time now, and I also missed out on a couple of shows in the region this year because I was out of town, so when the opportunity came for me to host a birthday concert, I decided to go back to the Volta region and celebrate with them.”

Edem’s Background

Edem’s full name is Denning Edem Hotor. He is a Ghanaian recording artiste and entertainer who performs under the name Edem Goget’em.

In 2015, he was awarded Best International Act-Africa at the Black Canadian Awards in Canada.

Edem is a native of Dzogadze, a small settlement in the Ghanaian Volta Region. Edem is one of two children; the other is Wendy Sefakor Agbeviadey. Most of the young Edem’s formative years were spent in Accra and Aflao. At the Amazing Love International Schools, he finished both his elementary and junior high education.

He attended Bishop Herman College for his senior high school education after graduating from Ghana’s secondary school system. At age 13, his mother passed away. His father, a lawyer, and sister were left behind.

At age 16, his father passed away. Currently, his sister is the only living member of his immediate family. His development included hip hop, dancehall, reggae, and highlife music.
