Youtube Partners 8Th Edition Of AFRIMA In Support of African Music

From January 12-15, 2023, the city of Senegal, Dakar, will host the eighth Annual All African Music Awards (AFRIMA).

The event will be broadcast live on YouTube in a partnership that seeks to promote the awards, provide artist-focused workshops, and stream them live.

AFRIMA, with its highly respected status, has been well-positioned to ensure that the annual four-day festival is aired to music lovers and stakeholders throughout the world.

At the Africa Music Business Summit (8th AFRIMA), one of the events, YouTube will host workshops for African creatives to teach them how to increase their online exposure in the context of the global creative ecosystem.

AFRIMA President and Executive Producer, Mike Dada, commended the streaming service for supporting the African creative sector.

“We have all seen the rise in circulation of short-form audio-visual content on these services and how they have helped to promote African music and creators on a global scale. We believe that sharing knowledge will be a veritable means to expand the revenue funnel for our creators at home and also boost foreign direct investment. In the spirit of uplifting the African creative ecosystem, we are excited to work with a driven and innovative team like YouTube.”

The live broadcast will be accessible on AFRIMA’s YouTube channel @Youtube.com/AFRIMAAWARDS. Subscribe for free and watch the African Music Business Summit live on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 9.00 am-4.30 pm (WAT), followed by the AFRIMA Music Village from 6.00 pm until daybreak (WAT).
