Transgender Teen Girl Detained For Allegedly Plotting 3 Colorado School Shootings Days After Tennessee Tragedy

A male-to-female transgender person has been detained in Colorado on suspicion of planning to commit school shootings days after a transgender shoots up a school in Tennessee, killing 3 kids and 3 adults.

After apprehending the former student who was allegedly plotting a bloodbath inside the premises, Colorado officials prevented a possible middle school shooting.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained and reported on by local media, William Whitworth, now going by Lilly, was apprehended by the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office on March 31 after it was discovered the 19-year-old had floor plans to Timberview Middle School and allegedly confessed to wanting to shoot up the school.

Deputies first went to Whitworth after receiving a call from the suspect’s sister warning them that Whitworth was yelling and making references to school shootings, according to the Colorado Springs Gazette, which cited the affidavit.

The sister referred to the suspect as her sister and referred to Whitworth, who is listed as a male in the affidavit, as “Lily,” according to the newspaper.

Whitworth is transitioning to a woman, a spokeswoman for the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office informed the Gazette.

According to the complaint, Whitworth told sheriff investigators that the planned school shooting had been in the works for “a month or two” and that she was “about a third of the way from doing it,” according to Fox 21.

A manifesto was also reportedly written as part of the alleged plan, along with a list of weapons and instructions for 3D printing them, according to the news station.

The manifesto reportedly had the names of mass shooters and political commentators.

Whitworth had a list of people “to be killed” in a notebook, the Gazette reported.

While the middle school was her “main target,” Prairie Hill Elementary and Pine Creek High School were also potential targets, all part of the Academy School District 20, according to the affidavit.

Whitworth was only at three District 20 schools, including Prairie Hills and Timberview, for about nine months combined, according to reports.

She is facing two counts of first-degree criminal attempt to commit murder, criminal mischief, menacing and interference with educational institutions, the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.

Bond was set at $75,000 with a hearing set for May 5.

Before the arrest, deputies found Whitworth in bed and drunk, surrounded by trash and several holes in the bedroom she was taken into custody, the Gazette reported.

Authorities additionally found instructions on how to build homemade bombs inside her room.
