US-Based Ghanaian Lady Dies After Boyfriend Allegedly Pushes Her Into Speeding Car

Brittany Boateng, a Ghanaian woman residing in Chicago, Illinois, died on February 23, 2024, after an altercation with her boyfriend Quincy turned fatal.

Quincy allegedly pushed Boateng into the path of an oncoming vehicle on a highway during the argument.

Following the incident, Quincy was taken into custody by the Chicago Police Department, which is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.

The family and friends of Boateng are struggling to come to terms with the sudden and heartbreaking loss.

A funeral service to honour her memory has been arranged for March 24, providing a solemn opportunity for loved ones to say their final goodbyes to Brittany.

This sad news comes weeks after a 17-year-old Ghanaian resident of London, UK, Nathan Bawuah, was stabbed in East London.

The incident occurred around 11 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024, along Hackney Road, marking another devastating loss to knife violence in the city.

Charged with murder is another 17-year-old, whose identity remains undisclosed for legal reasons.

The accused, who was scheduled to make an appearance at the Stratford Magistrate Court, was apprehended by detectives on Monday, following the violent episode.

A post-mortem examination is slated to be conducted at Poplar Mortuary to shed further light on the circumstances surrounding Nathan’s untimely demise.

In a heartfelt display of grief, friends of Nathan paid tribute by laying flowers at the scene, remembering him as “a good soul.”

Confirming the charge, a police statement released on Wednesday outlined the events leading to Nathan’s tragic death, extending support to his grieving family during this difficult time.

Recent statistics show a rising trend of fatal knife attacks in London, where gun violence remains minimal due to the UK’s strict laws on guns.
