Veteran Ghanaian Actor David Dontoh Featured in Final Season of American TV Series Snowfall

The official Facebook page of the Snowfall shared photos of the Ghanaian actor officiating a wedding ceremony between the leading characters in the TV series with a broad smile.

There is no question that he will deliver a strong performance in the FX series, which was renewed for a sixth and final season and debuted on February 22, 2023, with the series finale airing sometime in April.

John Singleton, Eric Amadio, and Dave Andron are the creators of the American crime thriller television series Snowfall, which debuted on FX on July 5, 2017. The first crack pandemic and its effects on the city are the focus of the series, which is set in Los Angeles in 1983.

The show centres on the lives of several characters, including 20-year-old drug dealer Franklin Saint, Mexican wrestler Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata, CIA agent Teddy McDonald, and Lucia Villanueva, the daughter of a major Mexican crime figure.

The show, which debuted on Showtime in 2014, was taken up by FX in September 2016 for a ten-episode season. Snowfall received a second season renewal from the network in August 2017, which debuted on July 19, 2018. The show received a third season’s renewal in September 2018, which debuted on July 10, 2019.

The fourth season of the show, which was initially slated to debut in 2020, was renewed by FX in August 2019. However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, production was briefly halted. The start of the fourth season was on February 24, 2021.

The show received a fifth season renewal from FX in March 2021, and it debuted on February 23, 2022. The show was picked up by FX in April 2022 for a sixth and final season, which debuted on February 22, 2023, and featured a series conclusion that aired sometime in the spring of 2023.
