Actress Ini Edo Reveals Why She Doesn’t See Herself As A Feminist
Ini Edo has explained why she does not consider herself a feminist. She discussed feminism in an interview with the “Tea with Taypod” podcast and said she doesn’t see herself as one.
She claims that despite her love of advocating for women’s rights, she would not identify as a feminist because she was taught to respect males.
She said she was satisfied with being a woman and a “Queen” as long as her boyfriend doesn’t try to dominate her and doesn’t fight for her to have the same rights as males or to be a “King.”
In her words:
“Being a feminist means different things to different people. I love to protect women’s rights and I feel the need for equality, but I am also a structured person. I have been raised a certain way. I am raised to respect and value men.”

Most acclaimed feminist have in recent times painted feminism to be a cuIt of women that cannot coexist with men…making it seem like to be a feminist you must abhor, disrespect and h@te men. She further said she’s okay with the idea of a man being the king and she the queen as long as nothing unsettles her or hovers around her crown! Truth be told, true and correct feminism and it’s concept must be retaught to women in Nigeria especially. Until then, don’t blame women like Ini Edo for their stance!! ms_ujah: So Ini really does not know the definition of feminism? Wow! Feminism has one definition; google it. It doesn’t mean one thing to dine and another thing to others. If you derail from the original meaning of feminism then what you’re practicing is not feminism but man hating rising from sheer ignorance.
