Ajagurajah Advises Archbishop Agyinasare To Seek Help From The Presidency Instead Of Fighting Nogokpo

Archbishop Charles Agyinasare is in conflict with the people of Nogokpo, and Bishop Kwabena Asiamah has advised him to seek intervention from the presidency if he wants to make peace with the people of the Volta Region.

This is in response to a video showing the archbishop labelling the city as the Volta Region’s “headquarters of demons,” which went viral on the internet. The head of the Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, has denied any desire to insult the residents of Nogokpo or the Volta Region. On May 28, during a sermon at his Accra church, the Archbishop clarified that he had never intended to insult the people of Nogokpo or the Volta Region.

The archbishop has apologised and clarified his statement, but the traditional people of Nogokpo have still called on the Perez Chapel founder to come before the elders of the community.

The local fetish priest has given him a 14-day deadline to appear before the religious leaders of Nogokpo in the Ketu South Municipality. If the man of God does not come before the Chiefs, the Chiefs say they will be forced to take further action. Ajagurajah has spoken out about the ongoing drama, saying that he believes the best way out is to ask the country’s authorities to mediate a peaceful resolution.

Speaking on United Showbiz, the founder of the Ajagurajah Movement said that accepting the offer would be a bad idea because the “Man of God” would have to go through some practises that don’t fit with his Christian beliefs.

“It’s already happened, so no one should judge. There are forces in this world, and he knows it. He should beg and plead with the president to help. He should appeal to the presidency so that the matter may be addressed on mutual terms. He definitely has links to the government, so he should ask them to help him solve the problem in a peaceful way…”

“Perhaps he did not intend for his statements to be malicious, but I believe the people of Nogokpo want to use him as an example, a scapegoat, because he is a big fish. When he goes there, they will make him do practises and other things that are not in line with Christianity. He will be required to appease the gods. No matter how much faith you have in Jesus, the place is extremely hot and powerful. Even the Bible tells us to “give to Caesar what is Caesar’s.” “He should send envoys because it will be dangerous for him to go himself, and if he doesn’t, it will also cause trouble,” Ajagurajah said.
