American Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine Hospitalized After Being Assaulted At The Gym
On Tuesday, a group of assailants assaulted rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine in the changing room of a gym in South Florida, leaving him critically injured.
Lawyer Lance Lazzaro says that his client, rapper Daniel Hernandez, popularly known as Tekashi 6ix9ine, got cuts and bruises on his face.Lazzaro says that three or four men attacked the rapper in the sauna at the LA Fitness club and that the rapper tried to defend himself. Lazzaro said, “He had cuts to his face and bruises.”
When the sauna staff at LA Fitness heard the noise, the attackers ran away and the local police were called. An ambulance took Tekashi 6ix9ine to a nearby hospital.
Several news outlets have reported on the incident in the hours after it happened. The fact that the culprits didn’t appear to care that they were being videotaped is alarming.
One of them was heard saying in a the viral video “Take a picture, I’m going to be famous now.”
One theory on the Internet is that the rapper might have been attacked because he helped the US attorney’s office. In 2019, Tekashi 6ix9ine made a plea agreement and admitted guilt on nine charges. He was scheduled to be sentenced in 2020 and could have received a term lasting decades.
