American Rapper Viper Arrested For Allegedly Kidnapping And Holding Woman For Four Years
Viper, whose real name is Lee Carter, has been arrested on charges of allegedly abducting a woman and keeping her captive for four years.
The victim, a homeless woman, was reportedly confined in deplorable conditions within Viper’s garage. Fortunately, she managed to escape by utilizing his computer to seek assistance.
Despite her escape occurring in April, law enforcement authorities only recently arrested Viper. The reasons behind the approximately nine-month delay in his arrest remain undisclosed.
According to reports from authorities, the woman was found in a distressing state, weighing a mere 90lbs and being pregnant at the time of her discovery. Unfortunately, her current condition and age remain unknown.
Legal documents reveal that Carter posted a $100,000 bond to secure his release from custody.
Prosecutors state that the woman utilized Viper’s laptop to contact emergency services and inform them of her involuntary confinement. Subsequently, a crew from the Houston Fire Department arrived at the residence and forcibly opened the garage door, revealing the victim’s living conditions, which were described as “putrid.”
The sworn statement indicates that the room contained an improvised toilet that did not function properly, a mattress that was stained with fresh vomit, and a few packages of chips and Twinkies.
The legal documents claim that Carter repeatedly engaged in sexual assault against the woman and provided her with crack cocaine.
Furthermore, it is alleged that the woman managed to escape the premises and seek medical attention at a hospital, but the police subsequently released her back into the custody of Viper.
Another woman was later discovered deceased at Viper’s property. The body of Catherine Roberts, aged 61, was found in July, and she was reported to have resided in the same garage as the aforementioned woman.
According to the records of the medical examiner, Roberts passed away due to liver disease and hepatitis C, which were further complicated by internal bleeding.
At present, Viper is not under investigation regarding Roberts’ death, and it is believed that the two incidents are unrelated.
A Houston police spokesperson said, “I can only tell you what we know for facts: I am saying these are two incidents. One was reported in April, and then the other incident happened in July, the DOA call to that residence. As of right now, it’s different incidents.”
