Aside from that, the Tru News Report recently revealed that residents of Oduom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, had a disagreement with zoo managers when they refused to return a stray crocodile.

The residents insisted on consuming the reptile due to economic hardship. Peter Opoku, who acted as the spokesperson for the young men who found the crocodile, expressed disappointment that it was not an alligator, which they had been anticipating.

The young men refused to return the crocodile to the zoo authorities, citing the unbearable economic hardship in the country. The Kumasi Zoo authorities have urged residents to notify them when they come across stray wild animals to prevent any dangerous incidents.

Opoku additionally stated that regardless of the actions taken by the authorities, they will not permit the animal to be transferred to the zoo due to their well-progressed intentions of transforming it into a delectable feast.
