Beautiful Lady Suddenly Starts Growing Beards Like Man, Her Husband Dumps Her
A few years into their marriage, an Indian woman Mandeep Kaur was left devastated when her husband dumped her after she suddenly began to grow facial hair.
Kaur was shattered when her husband, whom she believed to be the passion of her life, left her due to hirsutism ( excessive hair growth in women).
Kaur reportedly felt abandoned but ultimately made the decision to get assistance. The 33-year-old began going to a Gurdwara, a Sikh centre of worship.
Kaur began to embrace herself gradually, and she allowed her beard to grow. She wears a turban and leaves her goatee and moustache untrimmed. She farms with her siblings and travels the village on a motorbike. Sometimes people mistake her for a male, but her speech betrays her.
She claimed it took her some time to come to terms with who she was, but once she did, she was no longer embarrassed by her goatee.
According to Mayo Clinic, Hirsutism is a condition in women that results in excessive growth of dark or coarse hair in a male-like pattern — face, chest and back. With hirsutism, extra hair growth often arises from excess male hormones (androgens), primarily testosterone.
