Beyoncé & Kendrick Lamar Team Up For A Surprise Remix Of ‘America Has A Problem’

Beyoncé has surprised fans by releasing a remix of her hit song “America Has a Problem” featuring Kendrick Lamar.

The new version of the song was released on May 19 and became an instant social media trending topic. The remix contains a new verse from Kendrick Lamar, in which he references artificial intelligence and refers to himself as an “honorary Beyhive” member as he flows at his characteristic lightning speed:

“My momma told me that the money outgrew you / My horoscope said I’m really out my noodle / I’m troublin’, I’m puzzlin’, it’s sudoku / Say B, yes, America got a problem / Kicked up, choosing love, well, they chose violence.”

The single’s cover art depicts an American emblem composed of red, white, and blue bullets. This is not the first time that Beyoncé and Lamar have worked together on a song. Lamar was featured on Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” track “Freedom” in 2016, and he was featured on “NILE,” a track from Beyoncé’s The Lion King soundtrack album “The Gift” in 2019.

“America Has a Problem” is a composition from the Grammy-winning seventh studio album Renaissance by Beyoncé.

She introduced the choreography for her “Renaissance” world tour on May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden, which has inspired a TikTok trend. This has contributed to the song’s recent popularity surge.

Beyoncé’s tour, her first in nearly five years, will continue throughout the remainder of the year.

The new remix of “America Has a Problem” featuring Kendrick Lamar is available to purchase on Beyoncé’s website here. Listen below.
