Chloe Bailey Fans Disappointed In Beyoncé’s Lack Of Support For New Album

Beyonce is being criticised on Twitter for allegedly not promoting Chloe Bailey’s new album, which they believe would have aided the album’s performance on the charts.

Chloe Bailey’s debut album “In Pieces” underperformed on the Billboard Hot 200 after its release last week, and social media appears to be pointing the finger at Queen Bey.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, Bailey’s debut studio album sold approximately 10,000 copies in its first week and debuted at No. 119 on the official Billboard albums chart, which has understandably astonished many individuals.

People have taken to Twitter since the release of Bailey’s first-week numbers, with many blaming Beyoncé for the lacklustre sales.

Some have gone so far as to imply that Beyoncé is intentionally stifling Bailey’s career or that the two artistes are engaged in a feud.

Others have pointed out that Beyoncé has previously supported Bailey and that it is unreasonable to expect her to promote every project by every artiste with whom she has collaborated.

Chloe Bailey & Beyoncé

Chloe and her sister Halle were YouTube sensations. posting music covers to YouTube. They were acknowledged by Beyoncé, who became their mentor and eventually signed them as the R&B duo Chloe x Halle to her management company, Parkwood Entertainment, in 2015, followed by a record contract with Columbia Records.

Chloe x Halle have released two EPs and one studio album, and they have also appeared on Beyoncé’s albums Lemonade and The Lion King: The Gift. Bailey has said that signing with Parkwood was a “dream come true,” and she credits Beyoncé with helping to launch her career.

“She’s been such an inspiration to us since we were young girls,” Bailey said in an interview with Billboard.

“I started working on this album in 2019, a month or two before the pandemic hit. I put a pause on it so my sister and I could promote Ungodly Hour, but in between I was in my bedroom creating at night. I’d be making my own beats and working on songs and ideas for this project that I knew would come, I just didn’t know when.

She went on to comment on why she went solo saying, “My sister went to London to film her movie [the upcoming live-action version of The Little Mermaid] for seven or eight months, and it was so hard being without her.

That is when I started creating my project. I found my confidence — like, “OK, you can do this now.” I always have my sister’s support, and she will always have mine, no matter what we do together or individually.” Chloe told Billboard in 2021.

Although Beyonce’s role in Bailey’s career is unclear, it is evident that the young artiste has a brilliant future ahead of her, and her talent deserves to be recognised and praised.
