Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” Tour Officially Begins In Sweden

Beyoncé has kicked off her highly anticipated “Renaissance” world tour, and the first performance in Sweden was full of thrills! Early commentators have praised Bey’s classic single “Dangerously in Love,” which she used to open the show.

A star as insatiably ambitious as Beyoncé can’t be content with maintaining her position as the world’s top pop spectacle, not even in the absence of competition from Taylor Swift’s Ticketmaster-melting Eras Tour. Not when her first headlining tour as a solo artist since 2016 has the potential to usher in a new lavish lifestyle in 21st-century concert-going.

Renaissance is a huge blockbuster musical experience on another level, named after the Texan’s disco glitter bomb post-pandemic party record of the same name. The worldwide stadium tour, which kicked off in Sweden and ends in late September in New Orleans, is expected to earn as much as £1.9 billion ($2.4 billion).

Beyoncé’s global fanbase, affectionately known as the “BeyHive,” is excited before the event as they arrive from all over the world to witness their idol perform for the first time since her 2018 co-headlining tour with Mr. B, Jay-Z.

In the latest entertainment news today, several well-known vogue-style dancers, including Honey Balenciaga, came out as she performed songs from her “Renaissance” album from last year, which she dedicated to her Uncle Johnny. There were multiple references to the LGBTQ+ community throughout the performance.

Beyoncé dropped her seventh consecutive number-one album, Renaissance, in July 2022. And the album won the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album.

Beyoncé also reunited with her onstage dancing twins, the Les Twins, with whom she had previously collaborated extensively. They showed up in her documentary about Coachella called Homecoming.
