A report from MyNewsGH reveals that a young boy has been nabbed at Kotoka International Airport while attempting to illegally board a flight bound for the UK.
The report states that officials from Aviance, a terminal management company operating under the Ghana Airport Company, detained the boy after detecting his presence beneath the aircraft.
Currently, investigations are underway to determine how he managed to gain access to the aircraft and the tarmac.
However, officials who spoke to MyNewsGh.com on the condition of anonymity suspect that he may have entered the tarmac through the Burma camp road and stealthily crawled through the bushes, remaining undetected, in an attempt to board the aircraft.
Officials noticed him near the rear tyres of the aeroplane as he tried to board through the cargo holds.
Although specific flight information has not been disclosed, it is known that the aircraft is owned by British Airways and is headed to Heathrow in the United Kingdom.
