Budumburam Robbery On MoMo Vendor: Suspect Killed By Police Over Claims He Attempted To Escape Arrest

One of the men believed to have taken part in a robbery attack on a Mobile Money agent at Budumburam in the Central Region, has been gunned down by police.

According to Citi News, the deceased, who had been handcuffed is reported to have attempted to escape arrest leading to him being shot to death.

The deceased, identified as Kwame, had been on police wanted list over the dawn robbery attack on the mobile money vendor who died later from his wounds at the hospital.

The Police claims the suspect resisted arrest and injured an officer during an operation by personnel of the Central Regional Police Command.

The Mobile Money vendor, Michael Anderson, aged 28-year, was shot by robbers on December 30, 2022, near a public toilet facility in Buduburam.

The dawn robbery attack also saw the operator of the public toilet facility robbed at gunpoint.

Michael died on January 5, 2023 on admission at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.
