Camidoh Opens Up About His Struggles With PTSD On His Latest Album

Ghanaian musician Camidoh, best known for his smash track ‘Sugarcane’, has released a new album titled Love Is The Answer (L.I.T.A.) in which he discusses his struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

“This really means a lot to me. I’ve been working on it for about two years, and these songs are talking about stuff I’ve been dealing with, especially track one, PTSD. It’s talking about young people, young creative entrepreneurs trying to get things going, and then it’s like sad things come back to you in the middle of the night, your traumas come back to haunt you when no-one can hear you, when only you are dealing with it,” Camidoh said.

Camidoh recently stated In an interview on Hitz FM that Ghanaian musicians should be making more from music than they are currently making. “We should be making more from music than we are right now. We are making chicken change”.

“Let’s just say Sony Music wants to sign an artist in Ghana the same artist of that caliber in Nigeria the money they will call for firsthand is not the same money they call for Ghana artists I’m not playing. Because I feel like, upon travelling around the world, I’m realising that, bro, there’s more we should be making out of this music than we are making right now. We are actually making just a chicken change, bro.” he said.

He continued by saying that if they were to become more successful in the music industry, they would be able to appreciate DJs playing their songs by giving them a significant amount of money.
