Cardi B Celebrates 5 Years Anniversary Of First Album, ‘Invasion Of Privacy’
Cardi B has revealed she’s still earning “millions” of dollars from her first album, Invasion of Privacy since its debuted five years.
On Wednesday (April 5), the rapper received gifts from her crew in anticipation of the fifth anniversary of her Grammy-winning debut album.
Cardi responds after receiving a bottle of wine, cupcakes with strawberry flavouring, and a cake with the inscription, “Happy 5th Anniversary!” in a video she posted to her Instagram Stories as she is in the studio with her producer, J. White Did It, and engineer, Evan LaRay.
Along with a CD copy of the album, an Invasion of Privacy vinyl record may be seen sitting atop a bouquet of flowers.
“What my team got me, guys!” Cardi exclaims in the clip. “Yeah! Five years! I’m still getting booked for millions of dollars with one muthafuckin’ album, bitch! Yeah, wassup? Ain’t nobody can tell me nothing,” she adds with a laugh.
Invasion of Privacy, which was released on April 6, 2018, became a big hit right away, entering at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with more than 250,000 first-week sales. Since then, the RIAA has awarded it triple platinum certification. (Recording Industry Association of America).
The song was by Atlantic Records. Primarily a hip-hop record, Invasion of Privacy also includes trap, Latin trap and R&B.
