Cause Of Coolio’s Death Finally Revealed
Coolio’s cause of death has been attributed to a fentanyl overdose, according to a coroner’s report shared by the Los Angeles rapper’s family.
Jarel “Jarez” Posey, a representative for the family of the “Gangsta’s Paradise” singer, told TMZ on Thursday (April 6) that they had learned from the coroner that the Coolio died as a result of a narcotic cocktail.
The rapper apparently also had a combination of heroin and methamphetamines in his system in addition to fentanyl. The coroner also thought that his long-standing smoking habit and severe asthma contributed to his body’s incapacity to defend itself, which resulted in his terrible death.
After being found unconscious inside a friend’s Los Angeles house on September 28, 2022, Coolio (real name Artis Leon Ivey Jr.) died at the age of 59.
Minutes later, paramedics arrived and declared him dead there. He reportedly had a heart arrest at the time, according to the paramedics.
The area around him apparently contained no drugs or drug paraphernalia. The seven offspring of Coolio intend to continue his legacy in the foreseeable future through a variety of cinematic and documentary endeavours.
Before his untimely death, Coolio had big intentions to finish 2022. He was close to signing a contract for a residency in Las Vegas, where he would perform the lead role in 10 shows beginning in late October and continuing through mid-November at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.
