In the Agona East district of the Central region, a mentally challenged individual, aged 20, has caused harm to three individuals by inflicting cutlass wounds upon them.
This is not the first time this young man has resorted to such violent actions within the community. Residents, who are primarily farmers, have expressed deep concern over the situation, as they now fear visiting their farms alone.
In response to the incident, some enraged young individuals in the area reportedly attacked the suspect’s mother at their family residence, causing significant damage to their three-bedroom apartment.
The victims have been promptly transported to the Agona Swedru Municipal Hospital for necessary medical attention, while the culprit has managed to flee the scene.
Nana Otoo Acheampong II, the odikro of Agona Namawura, has expressed his strong disapproval of the situation.
