The group stage draw for Euro 2024 has been concluded in Hamburg and England, and the finalists of the previous tournament will be facing Denmark, Slovenia, and Serbia.
In the semi-finals of Euro 2020, Gareth Southgate’s team emerged victorious against Denmark with a 2-1 win, thanks to a penalty from Harry Kane in extra time.
On the other hand, Scotland has been handed a challenging path to the knockout stages, as they will be competing against host nation Germany, Hungary, and Switzerland in Group A. France, too, may face difficulties in Euro 2024, as they have been drawn against the Netherlands, Austria, and the winner of play-off path A, which could potentially be Wales.
However, Les Bleus have previously triumphed over Ronald Koeman’s Oranje team in the qualifying matches, with Kylian Mbappe scoring two goals in each encounter. Group B also promises an exciting clash, as reigning champions Italy will be taking on Spain. The 12-team play-off round, which will determine the final three qualifiers, is scheduled to take place from March 21-26.
In the last-chance saloon, Wales will be joined by Poland, Estonia, Finland, Israel, Iceland, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Luxembourg, Greece, and Kazakhstan.
