Christian Atsu Allegedly Rescued Alive From The Wreckage

A Bola report says Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu was rescued alive from the wreckage in the aftermath of the earthquake in Turkey. He is now in the hospital at the emergency unit.

The Portuguese news source A Bola claimed on Monday evening that Atsu had been rescued from the wreckage and sent to the hospital with injuries to his right foot and respiratory problems.

On Monday evening, A Bola reported that Atsu was recovered from the wreckage and hospitalised with right foot injuries and respiratory problems.

Hatayspor, Atsu’s club, is in one of the disaster’s hardest-hit locations.

Local residents search in the ruins following a powerful 7.2- magnitude quake in Turkey’s southeastern.

In addition to Atsu, the club’s sporting director, Taner Savut, and an interpreter were reportedly stranded after the earthquake.

An earthquake of a magnitude of 7.8 shook parts of Turkey and Syria, wreaking havoc all throughout the two nations, on Monday morning.

A few hours later, another earthquake with an epicentre near Kahramanmaras struck, bringing the death toll to 1,200.
