Akua Serwaa, the only daughter of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Bekwai, Kweku Kyei-Baffuor, has been shot dead by unknown gunmen.
On Thursday, August 3, the 30-year-old woman was discovered dead at her marital residence in Bebu, Atwima Kwanwoma District, Ashanti Region. Isaac Owusu, the deceased’s husband, claimed that when he arrived home, he found his wife dead and their doors wide open.
He revealed that at about 5:00 pm, flat-screen television and a few other goods were stolen from their home. Police have started looking into the situation.
It is yet unknown whether Akua Serwaa passed away violently or naturally. The Bekwai Hospital mortuary has received the deceased’s body for an autopsy.
