Diddy Denies Dissing Burna Boy; Says Grammy Post Is “Fake”

Sean Combs, better known as Diddy, is an American rapper and hip-hop mogul who denies making any remarks about Nigerian Burna Boy not receiving a Grammy at the recently held ceremony.

According to TMZ, Diddy’s team told the tabloid the post was fake, and he never wrote anything of the sort dissing Burna Boy, saying it was all love.

In the post, Diddy reportedly wrote; “I helped you win your first and only Grammy award which I did out of my kindness, and somehow you thought you could win another one without my help??? Oohh okay…. “

Barely 12 hours later, the rapper refuted those claims, taking to his Instagram with the image and writing “fake” on it.

Diddy served as co-executive producer for Burna’s 2020 album “Twice as Tall,” which went on to win “Global Music Album” at the 2021 Grammys.

The win also earned Kenyan ensemble Sauti Sol their first Grammy recognition for their work on Burna Boy’s album.

Together, they not only won the Grammy for Best Global Music Album the following year but also topped the Billboard US World Albums chart.

Burna Boy not winning Best Global Music Performance at the recent Grammys, further supports Diddy’s case.

Masa Takumi won the award for “Best Global Music Album.”
