Diddy Faces Allegations Of Drugging And Sexually Assaulting Woman In New Lawsuit

Three-time Grammy-winning rapper and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs is now confronted with fresh sexual assault accusations.

A lawsuit filed in a New York court on Thursday, Nov. 23, alleges that he drugged and sexually assaulted a university student in 1991.

This marks the second suit of its kind against the hip-hop mogul within the past week. The legal action against Diddy, 54, is part of several lawsuits filed this week under New York State’s Adult Survivors Act.

These filings occurred just before the expiration of a special one-year window for such complaints. The law enables such lawsuits to proceed even if the statute of limitations has expired.

In the lawsuit, Sean “Diddy” Combs is accused of intentionally drugging and sexually assaulting Joi Dickerson-Neal, a Syracuse University student, during an alleged incident in January 1991.

The lawsuit claims that Combs videotaped the assault and distributed the tape within the music industry. According to Ms. Dickerson-Neal’s lawyers, the assault caused significant emotional distress and damage to her reputation.

She is seeking unspecified compensatory damages. Diddy’s spokesperson dismissed the claims as a “made-up” and “not credible” story, characterising it as a money grab.

This lawsuit follows Diddy’s recent settlement with his ex-girlfriend, R&B singer Cassandra Ventura.
