“Eric” Hits Netflix May 30

The highly anticipated Netflix series “Eric,” starring Benedict Cumberbatch, is gearing up for its premiere on the streaming platform on May 30.

The emotional thriller, created by Abi Morgan, follows the gripping story of a desperate father’s search for his missing son in 1980s New York.

In “Eric,” Cumberbatch portrays Vincent Sullivan, a renowned puppeteer and creator of a beloved children’s television show, who grapples with the sudden disappearance of his nine-year-old son, Edgar.

As Vincent’s world unravels in the wake of his son’s disappearance, he becomes consumed by guilt and self-loathing, clinging to Edgar’s drawings of a blue monster puppet named Eric in a desperate bid to bring his son back home.

The series promises a riveting narrative filled with emotional depth and suspense as Vincent’s increasingly destructive behaviour alienates those around him, leaving Eric, a delusion born out of necessity, as his sole ally in the quest to reunite with his son.

The star-studded cast includes Gaby Hoffman, Ivan Morris Howe, Dan Fogler, McKinley Belcher III, and Clarke Peters, adding layers of complexity to the enthralling storyline.
