Fab Ain’t Making Another Soul Tape- Fabolous Says, Meek Mill Replies

After podcast host Lowkey tweeted that listeners should give up on ever hearing another episode, Meek Mill begged Fabolous to release another Soul Tape.

Two sequels to Fabolous’ 2011 debut Soul Tape were released in 2012 and 2015, respectively. The trilogy is still among Fabolous’ most well-known works, and Lowkey posted a warning to fans that they probably won’t see another chapter.

“Fab ain’t making another Soul Tape. Let’s just give up on that,” Low wrote, to which Meek replied, “Fabbbbbbbbbbbbbb.”

It’s unclear if the new song is connected to another Soul Tape, but Fab hasn’t released a full-length project since Summertime Shootout 3: Coldest Summer Ever in 2019, which featured Meek Mill, Lil Durk, Gucci Mane, Roddy Ricch, and others.

The comment comes after Maino shared a clip of Fabolous shooting a music video earlier this week.

Meek Mill trended for days owing to his apparent gaffe relating to a video he shared on Twitter which he later deleted after Ghanaians harshly criticised him.

The particular video was shot at the Jubilee House-Ghana’s seat of government when he recently stormed the country for the AfroNation concert. The video depicted a trailer for a music video where he was seen with his crew having a field day in the Jubilee House.

This sparked mixed reactions as some Ghanaians criticized the government for the film shoot. The NDC’s Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa also weighed in on the matter and said, “All those responsible for this despicable desecration of the Jubilee House by Meek Mill must be fired immediately.

Although Mill deleted the video, the criticism still flowed unendingly and now he has come out to address the issue. He stated in a Twitter post that he takes full responsibility for what happened, adding his action was not meant to disrespect the people of Ghana. He said;

“To the people of Ghana no video I drop is ever meant to disrespect the people of Ghana …. The fastest way to make connection is thru music and I wanted to do that with displaying art … im in my 30’s from America and didn’t know much about the lifestyle here.”

However, Zubaida, a Ghanaian lifestyle blogger assured Meek Mill that the people of Ghana are not mad at him but are angry at the people who were supposed to make him know the pros and cons of his visit to the Jubilee House.

Meek responded to this by saying;

“I don’t think they knew it was video footage when we asked to shoot it’s a small camera and one kid … in America we didn’t know this existed and was excited to show because they don’t show Ghana on our media much! So I’ll take responsibility for my mistake! Not intentional.”
