For The First Time, I Got Broke – Giovani Caleb Reveals How He Was Impacted By Economic Crunch In 2023

Media personality, Giovani Caleb has revealed that the economic crunch of 2023 saw him go through one of his most challenging financial times in a long while.

Speaking about the downside of his year in review on The Day Show hosted by Berla Mundi, the host of ShowBiz360 noted that, as someone who was always on the screens, he also had to contend with making such appearances despite the issues he was dealing with.

“Let’s face it, this year has really been tough on a lot of people and we are in the business of making people happy, so the low moment would be giving off your best while feeling partly that once the camara and everything goes down, you are going to be back to the people and you are going to be the people. Trust me, the job inside we dey, if they cut budget, if they cut hair, it be we dey feel am more,” he stated.

“This year, for the first time in a long time, I got broke. Yeah, I got broke this year, but I also made some gains. Such is life, right? But we don’t get to show that on the screen; we don’t talk to anybody; there’s nobody to go to,” he added.

Ghana since late 2019, has been going through a period of economic downturn, which has impacted the cost and standard of living.

The government, as a means of managing revenue implemented several harsh measures, including a debt exchange, which left many incurring financial losses.
