Forever Rot In Hell – Major Mahama’s Mother ‘Curses’ Son’s Killers

Veronica Bamford, the mother of the late Major Maxwell Mahama, has expressed her sentiments after 12 individuals were sentenced to life imprisonment for the gruesome murder of her son.

Speaking at the office of the Attorney General during a courtesy call on Godfred Dame, Bamford tearfully stated that she wishes for the convicted individuals to “rot in hell” and never be granted pardon.

“May they rot in hell, may they never come out, and any government that should come into power and give any of them parole, that government will have my son’s blood on their hands,” she emphasized on January 31, 2024, following the court’s verdict.

During the meeting, Bamford thanked the Attorney General for the successful prosecution of her son’s murderers. She also revealed that she had rejected proposals to name a street after her son in Denkyira Obuasi, the town where the military officer was tragically murdered in a mob lynching incident that gained national attention.

Twelve out of the 14 individuals were found guilty of Major Mahama’s murder on January 29, 2024. A unanimous verdict of guilty was returned by a seven-member panel against individuals such as the area’s assemblyman, William Baah, Bernard Asamoah (Daddy), Kofi Nyarko (Abortion), Akwasi Baah, Kwame Tuffour, Joseph Appiah Kubi, and Michael Anim, among others.
