Ghanaian Fishermen Building Giant Boat Similar To Biblical Noah’s Ark

Sika Osei, a prominent Ghanaian Twitter blogger, has recently brought attention to a group of Ghanaian fishermen who are embarking on a remarkable endeavour to recreate Noah’s Ark in the modern era.

Venturing to the construction site, the blogger captured captivating footage of the fishermen diligently working on the boat, which was already nearing completion.

Notably, the blogger observed that the fishermen relied solely on primitive tools, eschewing the use of advanced machinery. The video showcased a glimpse of the colossal vessel, complete with inner chambers.

Undoubtedly, many are eagerly anticipating updates from both the vlogger and Sika Osei regarding the progress and purpose behind this ambitious Noah’s Ark replica.

Noah’s Ark is the ship mentioned in the Genesis flood narrative, where God saves Noah, his family, and representatives of all the world’s animals from a worldwide deluge. This story is derived from earlier flood myths originating in Mesopotamia and is also mentioned in the Quran, where it is referred to as Safinat Nūḥ.

Throughout history, both early Christian and Jewish writers, including Flavius Josephus, believed in the existence of Noah’s Ark. Despite numerous unsuccessful attempts to find the Ark, dating back to the time of Eusebius (c. 275–339 CE), believers continue to search for it in modern times.

However, no scientific evidence has ever been discovered to support the existence of the Ark, nor is there any scientific evidence for a global flood. The description of the ship and the natural disaster in the Bible would have required physical impossibilities and anachronisms.

Some researchers speculate that a real flood event, albeit localized, in the Middle East may have served as inspiration for the oral and written narratives. Examples include a Persian Gulf flood or the Black Sea Deluge approximately 7,500 years ago, which have been proposed as potential historical candidates.
