Hearts of Oak Goalkeeper Accused of Using Juju In Their Game Against Karela

Richmond Ayi, the goalkeeper for Hearts of Oak, has received harsh condemnation on social media for wearing white powder on his face before their match against Karela United.

The player turned up for their game covering his face in powder which many have attributed to black magic or juju. Despite his recourse to supernatural means to help his team triumph, Hearts of Oak were unable to defeat Karela United.

At CAM Park in Aiyinase, the struggling Karela team put on a commanding display to defeat the Phobians 3-0.

Although the reason behind Ayi’s decision to conceal his face with white powder is unknown, many on social media have criticized his choice, calling it antiquated and inappropriate in contemporary football.
