Here Are Some Easy Ways To Find Out If Your Partner Has An STD

It’s not as uncommon as you might believe to contract an STI, or a sexually transmitted disease (STD). Infectious diseases are easily spread by unprotected sex, whether it be vaginal, oral, or anal.

More people get sexually transmitted illnesses (STIs) and diseases (STDs) than you might think. Unprotected sex, whether it be anal, oral, or vaginal, is a simple way to spread infectious diseases.

Even if you think you’re in a faithful relationship, engaging in sexual activity puts you at risk. How to tell if your partner has sexually transmitted infections:

Signs and symptoms

Many different STDs have been identified, and each has its own unique set of symptoms. However, there are several symptoms that are shared by a few of the most common STDs.

  • Sores and blisters within or close to the mouth
  • Itching and inflammation in the genital region
  • Sores or warts on the genital area
  • Regular urination or pain
  • Abnormal vaginal odour
  • Itching, discomfort, or bleeding in the Anal
  • Blisters or sores in or around the mouth

Both of you should get checked out if your partner shows any of these signs. An STD is probably the cause of these symptoms, although it’s possible that one or more of them are unrelated. You still need to see a doctor, regardless of the outcome.

Abstinence from sexual contact

When your partner suddenly changes the way you usually have sex or stops having sex altogether, this could be a warning sign.

This could suggest that your partner is trying to hide the symptoms from you. Some STD symptoms, such as those associated with gonorrhoea and chlamydia, are visible in the genital area, so abstaining from intercourse may be an attempt to avoid seeing these symptoms for yourself.

Some STDs can be there but show no symptoms at all. It is possible that your partner has an STD and is completely unaware of the fact. If that’s the case, then there probably won’t be any warning signs or changes in behaviour. This is why all sexually active people should get tested for gonorrhoea and chlamydia every year.
