How Yvonne Nelson Tried To Set Me Up – Sarkodie Makes Wild Allegations Against Actress

Michael Owusu Addo, best known by his stage name Sarkodie, has released a new song in which he addresses the claims made against him by actress Yvonne Nelson in her controversial memoir.

Yvonne Nelson’s new tell-all book, titled “I am not Yvonne Nelson,” details her affair with the rapper in 2010 that ultimately led to her becoming pregnant.

In chapter 8 of the book, she wrote about her decision to get an abortion after the rapper refused to take responsibility for the situation. She claims she learned the rapper dumped her after discovering he was seeing someone else at an overseas university.

However, Sarkodie denies Yvonne Nelson’s allegation in his new song “Try Me,” saying that he never persuaded the actress to get an abortion and that Yvonne Nelson tried to set him up again by inviting him to her house a few weeks ago, an invitation he politely declined.

“A few weeks ago, you tried to set me up again. You intentionally sent me a message on WhatsApp that you still go through the pain, but me knowing you, I kind of knew that you were really up to something, so I said we should meet, so you explained, I arranged a meeting at Syk Bar, you said there were a lot of people there, and you told me to come to your house, but I declined,” Sarkodie said.

Although he was not prepared to become a father, he claimed to have advised Yvonne to keep the pregnancy; however, Yvonne eventually decided to have an abortion so that she could focus on her studies.

Sarkodie stated that there are a few things he thought he’d take to his grave, implying that the abortion may have remained a secret; he then goes on to commend Yvonne for her courage in revealing the tale but warns her that she cannot select which truths to share with the world.
