I Have Done A Lot For Ghana, Sometimes I Even Feel Ashamed Talking About It – Alan Kyerematen

NPP flagbearer hopeful Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, claims he has contributed significantly to the development of the country.

During his tour of Greater Accra, Alan Kyerematen brought up the President’s Special Initiatives (PSI) which was an accomplishment of the Kufuor administration, as a revolutionary idea of his that could’ve transformed Ghana’s economic trajectory.

“With the amount of work I have done for this country, sometimes I even feel ashamed talking about it. In President Kufuor’s era, I was one of the senior ministers in Kufuor’s administration. I brought PSI (The President’s Special Initiatives), and if Ghanaians had listened to me, today Ghana wouldn’t have gone to the IMF, he said.

The primary goal of the PSIs was to shift Ghana’s economy away from its reliance on foreign aid, donor support, and a limited number of commodity exports in order to shed its HIPC designation.
