I Told Him to Get A Gun But He Refused – Burna Boy Reveals In Tribute Song to AKA

Burna Boy has revealed in a new tribute song he released in memory of AKA that he once told the South African rapper to arm himself with a gun to protect himself but he flatly refused to adhere to his admonition.

In honour of South African rapper AKA, who was recently murdered and died, Burna Boy has released a song wherein he stated his relationship with AKA whose real name is Kiernan Jarryd Forbes.

Burna Boy shared on Instagram that he had seen a video of the shooting and this has greatly troubled him. AKA allegedly questioned the need for a gun after viewing Burna Boy’s own, according to Burna Boy.

Although they weren’t very close, Burna continued, he never wanted to see him dead. In honour of his South African colleague, the Nigerian penned a song in his honour which he published on IG.

He further prayed for authorities to bring the culprits to book within the shortest time possible.

“WTF is all of that about/I just heard he died, seen that video at that restaurant/ Took me out of a positive mood/ Took me back to that day when you saw my gun and you said I was wild/ Then I told you you should have one too/ Cuz it weren’t like niggazaz wasn’t dying but I thought you knew/ And I ain’t really fck wit you/ But I didn’t want you dead, it was like that with me and you/ Wicked!/

I hope they catch whoever did you wicked/ I hope you rest in peace. Even though we ain’t kick it/ At the end of the day we some grown ass nigggaaz”.

“RIP AKA,” he wrote.
