Da Hammer has revealed that he’s the one who asked rapper Kwame Yogot to switch from rap to singing evident in his latest track which he sent exclusively to him for review.

The veteran sound engineer who is credited for nurturing the talent of Sarkodie, Obrafour, Tinny, Kwaw Kese, Edem and other rappers from his Last 2 Camp, said in a Facebook post that Kwame Yogot had submitted him a song to assess and that he had been impressed by the rapper’s singing skills.

He then informed his audience that he asked the rapper to specialise more in singing probably to make his brand a household name and break into the mainstream. Da Hammer stated on Facebook;

“When rapper Kwame Yogot sent me this song a few weeks ago to review, I was so surprised to find out the entire chorus was sung by him, including the backing vocals and all.

I immediately asked him to get rid of all the frivolous rap that so often waters down his songs and replace it with singing verses instead. Cos honestly the rap took away from the sincerity of the song and its conviction. I’m so glad he listened.”

Additionally, he shared a video of himself jamming to the potential banger while cruising in his car in town. Watch below;
