I’m Very Happy Christian Atsu Never Married a Black Woman — Langabel

Langabel, the head drummer for Black Stars has expressed his happiness that Christian Atsu did not marry a Ghanaian or black woman for that matter.

The controversial sports personality in an interview with TV3 intimated that the player would be better off marrying a non-Ghanaian person due to the custody issues that arise when partners pass away.

“What made me happy is that Atsu never married a Black woman,” Langabel said after recounting fond memories with the former footballer.

Because when Atsu marries a Black woman, this funeral will be dogged by controversies between both sides of the families, usually fighting for the property.

“As it stands now, there is no basis for such quarrels because Atsu’s sister will be in charge of his estate having taken care of him,” he stressed.

Recall that on March 17, Christian Atsu’s three children paid a heartfelt tribute to their late father by expressing how much they would miss him.

Atsu, who played more than 60 times for Ghana and scored nine goals, sadly passed away in February after spending more than a week under the rubble as a result of the devastating earthquake in Turkey.

In expressing their love for their father, Atsu’s two sons and daughter said that he always accepted and adored them.

They said, “We missed you, dad. You loved us for who we were and accepted us for who we were striving to become. You always made us smile and filled us with strength.

Your strength gave us a sense of protection and love. Now that you are in heaven, we know that you will continue to protect us. Thanks for being our dad. We will always love and miss you. Rest well, dad.”

The funeral of the former Newcastle star is underway at the forecourt of the State House. Atsu’s funeral is taking place six days before the Black Stars take on Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on 23 March in a 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
