Indian Comedian & Actor Kollam Sudhi Dies In Car Accident

Indian comedian and actor, Kollam Sudhi has reportedly died while other actors sustained various injuries, according to the police when the car they were travelling in had an accident in the early hours of Monday,

According to the police, a car carrying Sudhi (39), Ullas Aroor, Binu Adimali, and Mahesh collided with a truck at Kaipamangalam at 4:30 AM.

“It was a head-on collision. All of them were taken to the hospital but Sudhi lost his life. The other three are undergoing treatment,” police told PTI.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condoled the death of Sudhi. Sudhi was known for his comedy roles in various television programmes and has also acted in a couple of movies.

In addition, he was well-known for hosting various shows on television. In just a few years after making his film debut in 2015, Sudhi established a name for himself.

Sudhi was born on January 1st, 1984 in Kollam, Kerala. He began his career as a mimicry performer and quickly rose to fame for his impersonations of other celebrities.

In 2010, he then made his acting debut in the TV show “Flowers Star Magic.” Later, he appeared in a number of other television shows, such as “Comedy Stars” and “Comedy Unplugged”.

Sudhi made his film debut in the 2015 movie “Kaanthaari”. He then went on to star in films such as “Kuttappanayil Ritwik Roshan”, “Kuttanadu Marappa”, “An International Local Story”, and “Kesu Evideyo”. He was also a part of the Malayalam movie “Swargathil Katturumbu” which was released in 2022.

He has appeared in over ten Malayalam films. Following her participation in the Flowers Star Magic show, Sudhi became well-known.

Additionally, he made guest appearances in a number of Malayalam comic programs. Sudhi’s father, who was born in Kochi, worked as a revenue inspector for Kochi Corporation. He has a sister and two brothers. His older brother had already passed away.

With the release of Kanthari in 2015, Sudhi made her feature debut. He has appeared in films like Children’s Park, Big Brother, Nizhal, Keshu Ee Veedinte Nathan, and Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan.

The automobile that Sudhi and three other mimicry performers were riding in crashed with a delivery van on June 5, 2023, in Kaipamangalam, Thrissur. Sudhi was transferred to a private hospital after suffering a severe head injury.
