Jamaican Superstar Jahmiel To Headline Stonebwoy’s Bhim Concert

Jahmiel, one of Jamaica’s finest musicians, has been announced as the first international headline act for this year’s BHIM Concert.

The annual music and arts festival, now in its 7th installment, will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, December 22. This will be Jahmiel’s first-ever performance in Ghana, following his collaboration with Stonebwoy on the song ‘Motion’. The track was featured on Stonebwoy’s acclaimed 2020 album “Anloga Junction,” which won Album of the Year by ReggaeVille.

The BHIM Concert, created by the renowned Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy, has become the country’s largest and most popular artist-led music festival. Over the years, it has showcased a stellar lineup of esteemed artists from Africa and the Caribbean, including Busy Signal, Beenie Man, Morgan Heritage, and many more.

Jahmiel, whose real name is Jahmiel Foster, was born on August 30, 1992, in Portmore, a vibrant city located just outside of Kingston, Jamaica, and has made a name for himself in the music industry.

With a rich musical heritage in his hometown, Jahmiel’s songs have become trendy online, garnering a significant number of streams and downloads on Boomplay. His career has been marked by success and recognition, and he continues to captivate audiences with his unique sound and style.

Jahmiel is an emerging force in the world of reggae music and has quickly become a prominent figure in the industry. His unique blend of classical roots reggae and contemporary digital rhythm tracks has captivated audiences, infusing dancehall music with a spiritual essence that had been fading away. Remarkably, Jahmiel has achieved all of this without coming across as preachy or cliché.

In 2015, Jahmiel’s breakthrough hit, “Gain The World,” produced by the relatively unknown Quantanium Records, propelled him to new heights within the reggae community.

This powerful song explores the theme of individuals sacrificing their values for success, emphasizing the importance of staying true to oneself and resisting material temptations. “Gain The World” not only showcased Jahmiel’s talent but also set a new standard for songwriting in Jamaica’s dancehall scene, emphasizing the significance of loyalty over luxury in this generation.
